BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle
If you are up for spontaneous rides and use your smartphone for navigation, the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle is just the thing for you. As an alternative to Navigator VI, you place your smartphone in the cradle and access the navigation function using the BMW Motorrad Connected app. You control all functions with the Multi-Controller on the handlebars, making it safer for you to get from A to B when you’re commuting, touring or dashing through turns.
Simply attach the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle to your bike’s navigation preparation. Thanks to individually adjustable brackets it is compatible with the most popular smartphone models. Once paired by Bluetooth with the BMW Motorrad Connected app, you place your smartphone in the cradle to conveniently control the app’s functions using the Multi-Controller on the handlebars. And while you’re on the go, the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle inductively charges your smartphone – alternatively, you can also use a USB-C cable.

The BMW Motorrad Connected app is the key to the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle. Once paired with the app’s Connectivity Hub, you can access its functions with the Multi-Controller. The navigation system will take you to your next destination along the best routes using the map and arrow view, while also grating you access to your route data after having arrived. The Bike Info area also provides you with all important vehicle data, such as tyre pressure, fuel gauge and range.

The navigation preparation is required (available separately) to attach the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle to the motorcycle. The cradle is not compatible with the Navigator’s 4-button Mount Cradle.

As a rule, all smartphones within at minimum 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9 mm and at maximum 162.5 x 78.1 x 8.8 mm are compatible.

- You need a Bluetooth Low Energy connection to control the app with the Multi-Controller on the motorcycle’s handlebars. Use the Connectivity Hub within the BMW Motorrad Connected app for pairing. The app is only required during initial setup. On the next journey, devices will automatically connect when they are switched on.
- Depending on the smartphone design, it may be necessary to remove the case to ensure that your smartphone is securely fastened in the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle.
- As a minimum requirement, smartphones must feature Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.2 to meet the security requirements (LE Secure Connections) for a connection. Smartphones with older Bluetooth versions are therefore not supported.
